So, what’s the deal?
We’d much rather receive new clients from word of mouth than conventional advertising. We really appreciate you, and appreciate using Woodnote Studios for your musical needs. So if you’ve been a client at Woodnote Studios and had a pleasant experience, we’d like to offer you an incentive to spread the word, as a well as a small thank you for your business!
Here’s the deal: for every 15 of your friends that ‘Like’ us on Facebook, we will GIVE you one free hour of studio time, up to 6 hours. That’s an over $200 value!
How does it work?
Well, Facebook made it a little more difficult with their new version. There used to be a nice, convenient “Suggest to Friends” button. That’s gone now. Thanks, Facebook! The good news is, we were able to make a tab that lets you suggest friends. It’s below our Profile Picture, where it says Wall, Info, etc., there will be a text that reads “Suggest To Friends”. For some reason, it only lets you select 6 people at a time. An alternative to this is to post a link to our Facebook page, (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Woodnote-Studios/151828518186482) as your status, asking all of your kind and wonderful friends to “Like” us. Facebook sends us a weekly report showing how many new users “Liked” us, and who they are connected to. Send us an email or quick Facebook message telling us to be on the lookout, and we’ll monitor how many people connected to you find us. Every time we see a group of 15 people linked to you like us, we will credit you with 1 free hour at the studio. Then, just call or email us to schedule your session!
Why are we doing this?
Two reasons: First and foremost, every one of you has been an absolute pleasure to work with. We’ve been amazed with how talented our customer base is, and have never felt like working on your projects was actually “work”. We are very grateful for that! Secondly, we really don’t like traditional advertising! It would be great if every new client we had come here, came because a friend of theirs had a good experience with us. The problem with conventional advertising, even through Facebook and Google, is it can be impersonal and not very efficient. And the ads cost money. Money that goes into our overhead, and inevitably get passed on to you.
We don’t want to spend more money anymore than you do! We like being able to work with budgets. We like that our clients can afford to pursue a passion without going broke. We like that you can leave with big studio quality without having to take out a second mortgage. And, personally, we like making music! So, we could pay Facebook and Google to target specific keywords your friends use, hope that our ad pops up for them, hope that they see it, and hope that they click on it and ‘Like’ us. We also realize we could just ask you to suggest your friends “Like” us.
But like we said, we truly do value your business and don’t take it for granted. So we’d like to thank you for your loyalty. We’d rather spend $200 of our time working on great music, than $200 of our income to be a fraction as effective.
